Central GST Commissionerate, Jammu (J&K) has come into existance in terms of CBIC Notification No. 02/2017-CE dated 19.06.2017 w.e.f 22.06.2017 read with Trade Notice No. 01/2017 dated 23.06.2017 with the jurisdiction of GST Commissionerate, J&K, Jammu as physical boundary of Jammu & Kashmir State.
This Commissionerate is entrusted with the task of  implementing the Central Excise Act, 1944, Service Tax Act, 1994, the GST Act, 2017, the Rules framed there under and other allied acts. Its principal task is collection of duties/taxes (GST/ Central Excise/ Service Tax etc.) in the notified territorial jurisdiction of Commissionerate besides other related administrative functions. This Commissionerate comes in the jurisdiction of Goods & Service Tax Chandigarh Zone, Chandigarh, which is a part of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), which in turn falls within the Department of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. 

       The Central GST Commissionerate, Jammu & Kashmir comprises of Four Central GST Divisions viz. Jammu-I, Jammu-II, Samba and Srinagar as per followings:

1. GST Division Jammu – I

 

Office Address	O. B. – 32, Rail Head Complex, Jammu.
Jurisdiction	Whole of Jammu District on the south-east side of River Tawi also including SIDCO Industrial Complex Bari Brahmana

 

1. GST Division, Jammu – II

 

Office Address	O. B. – 32, Rail Head Complex, Jammu.
Jurisdiction	Whole of Jammu district falling on north-west of river Tawi, districts of Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Reasi, Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar

 

1. GST Division, Samba

 

Office Address	Central GST Division, Samba, Ward No. 5, Opp. District Hospital, Near Samba Fort, Mandi Kotli, Samba-184121
Jurisdiction	Districts of Kathua and Samba excluding SIDCO industrial Area Bari Brahmana.

 

1. GST Division, Srinagar

 

Office Address	Hotel Mini Ikhwan, Bishamber Nagar, Srinagar.
Jurisdiction	Whole of Kashmir Province of J&K State including districts of Leh and Kargil of Ladakh Region
